Srila Prabhupada's Poetry - Vrndavane Bhajana - Plans for "Doing Fine"

(1)
kata "plyana" kare tara bhalo thakibare
prakrti bhangiya deya saba bare bare

They make a great many plans to live comfortably in this world, "doing fine." But material nature smashes all of their arrangements one after the other.

(2)
"daivi hy esa guna-mayi" bhagavanera maya
"bhalo thakara" artha bujha bhalo ka're bhaya

The Lord's maya is "divine energy, consisting of the three modes of material nature." [Bg. 7.14] O brothers! Please try to understand the reality of this illusion of supposedly "doing fine."

(3)
keha "bhalo" nai hetha "tabu bhalo" bale
ei-bhave maya saba baddha-jive chale

Although no one is actually fine here in this world, one persists in saying, "I am fine!" In this way, maya completely deceives the conditioned souls within her grasp.

(4)
chalanaya bhuli jiva sarvada majgula
maya lagi mare tabu bhange nako bhula

Being enchanted by maya's deception, these souls remain perpetually engrossed in illusion. Although maya severely kicks them during their attempts to enjoy, they still refuse to give up their enchantment.
