Srila Prabhupada's Poetry - Vrndavane Bhajana - Loud Kirtana Causes Real Advancement

(1)
ghare vase' cencaiya pitta-vrddhi kari'
koti janme-o santusta habe na sri-hari

By sitting in a solitary room, pretentiously calling out to the Lord, you may increase your bile secretion, but by spending even ten million births in that way you never will actually please Sri Hari.

(2)
sri-hari nahe karo babara sampatti
"khonyadera" bahira hao na kara apatti

Sri Hari cannot be claimed by some babajis as their exclusive property. Just come out of your tiny little cage and stop raising so many objections.

(3)
saba sri-harira, ara sri-hari sabara
kara ucca-svare kirtana - ei' siksa tanra

Everyone belongs to Sri Hari, and Sri Hari belongs to everyone. "Go on chanting kirtana with loudly raised voices!" This is the Lord's personal instruction to all of us.

(4)
kirtana-prabhave ha'be smarana apani
nirjana-bhajana sei hrdaye takhani

By the potency of that kirtana, the process of lila-smarana, remembrance of the Lord's daily pastimes, will spontaneously arise. Only then the qualification for solitary worship within the heart will be genuinely attained.
